My Fight

Contributed by Atari on Saturday, 14th May 2005 @ 12:59:10 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

No one understands…this love I hold in my hands.
Can’t you see? You’re right in front of me.
I’m here… clearly you can see me.
No I’m invisible to you. I always have been always will.
I am no longer yours nor mine. I am only the rain in the sky.
My eyes fill like the bath tub when running water enters it.
Now my eyes rain on this paper running all my words.
My make up smears like a black unstirred night.
Only you can make things right. Just before I fight.
This night I cry only because things can’t go right.
You’re out of sight. Now as I begin my fight.
I will set things right. I will take this fight.
Just for you so you can understand.
I am here and will be forever holding our love together.
Hoping that one day we can be together again.
I shall fight for it!

Ariane Brooks
