My Ode to Peace

Contributed by Crimson_Valley on Saturday, 14th May 2005 @ 12:00:59 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The calmest place I love to reside,
To think, to ponder and to pray.
Across that soft surface I glide,
Can I touch your hand if I may.

The peacefulness in its gentle heat,
Don’t wait for me just go on ahead.
An endless supply that can’t deplete
Our love will permanently embed.

If I need help I know where to look,
And to let my soul pour itself outward.
Only a simple touch, that’s all it took,
Words that were spoken murmured.

Never looking back into the bitter past,
Not regretting the choices I have made.
This was meant to be, meant to last,
It was meant to stay, not to ever fade.

The calmest place I love to reside,
To think, to ponder, and to pray.
To rest in your hands, you’re my guide,
To live my life and another day.

Calm, peaceful, loving. This is absolutely timelessly beautiful.
