Incorrect Answer...

Contributed by kyarn on Friday, 13th May 2005 @ 09:28:57 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

"I'm sorry," you say, though no sorrow lies in your voice,
"But you can't," and you shrug, as though you haven't a choice.
I have a duty, not a whim, and you deny me my desire...
Has no one ever told you not to risk a poet's ire?
Well, let me be the first, my dear, and a toast to your future pain.
Dear gods! You are a fool, you who throw the die without knowing the game...
What you think I should be doing now is none of my concern.
And all is fair...in life itself, as well you soon shall learn.

I like this work. It is quite intriquing and sounds like something I would think, lol. I especially love the line "Has no one ever told you not to risk a poet's ire?" I am going to look at more of your work. From this one I see much talent.

Peace
Rita

Dear Kyarn,
Couldn't help but read Rita(morningdove's) comment.......she is right on.......so listen to her wisdom. And I would say the same thing. You have so much talent, and aren't you glad you can write. My pen is my best friend, I tell it everything and sometimes it sheds my tears in ink.......Whomever you are speaking about here, should know, you don't mess with a poet. Of all people we will let you know, and not without emotion either!!!
Loved this poem.......so much wisdom, so much insight.........very talented indeed.
Keep up the good work you will polish your soul each time you write another poem from the heart
Warm Love
