Reflection in the mirror,
Staring back at me.
Pale, silvery light of the moon,
Caresses the face of a young man.
Revealing a weary smile,
Not natural but, rather forced.
Dull, haunted eyes, so tired,
Showing no emotion anymore,
But at the same time,
Failing to hide the pain inside.
Who is this reflection,
So beaten down by life,
That he can no longer,
Muster the strength or defiance,
To turn the other cheek?
