Lonely

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Lonely,
hardship of life
left to search
to find someone

to find someone
who really understands
someone who gets it
not just a face

not just a face
a mind, a heart, a soul
a part of need,
a part in need

a part in need
needs me to fill
hopes for me
dreams of me

dreams of me
wanting my help
my hopes, my prayers
praying for me

praying for me
to find out who I am
what I am looking for
is just not being alone

I like the way this is wrote, each last line the beginning of the next first line. Hey your here on YPDC, I don't think your that alone. You have many friends just look around you. Hello, I'm Nancy.

I loved the flow of this poem, and like Nancy said, how one verse end leads into the beginning of the next. That was awesome! I have met so many great people on this site. You are one of them. I truly believe that exceptional people will find someone. I know that comes across as lame, but it is true. It doesn't help the now and I can feel it, have felt it. That hollowness inside. I have probably felt it for most of the years you have been alive. It s*cks. Hoping, wishing... and then nothing. Unfortunately, it's not a process you can rush. Keep being you and things will change. Jennie has found someone, I think I have. I know that a week or so ago, neither Jennie or I would have thought that way... then boom, out of nowhere. I don't think anyone can predict when it is going to happen... just be ready and be yourself when it does. Reach out to others when you feel like this. The worst thing I have done over the years is to cut myself off when I feel like this and it has never done me any good. You have lots of people who care kc. We are here for you :)

I once had that the person who knew you inside and out but then i messed it all up and i don't have that. So I feel you on this poem. Hopefully we won't be lonly to much longer. I also liked how you had the last line start as the beginnig. Good luck and hopefully everything works out.
