no ones son
i thought what you taught was real
i fought what you taught to kill
deep shadows cold and alone
memories that chill me to my very bone
where are you when i need you
where were you when i believed in you
dying for your attention and love
dying for the line that follows my (our) blood
a trail that forks, each way seems so long
you were supposed to teach me right from wrong
twisted thoughts surround my mind
maybe you'll notice me if i cry
searching for ways to catch your eye
pointless, cause i can see that your blind
better than the best, better than the rest
but im stuck in the crowd of everything thats left
scissors and blades,love for pain
the haunting impulses inside my brain
maybe you'll notice me if i scream
maybe you'll notice me if i bleed
maybe you'll notice me if i cry
maybe you'll notice me if i die....
i was left to rot, learning what you taught
i was left to seek the things that you never sought
im dying here in pain, screaming but its all in vain
please god just cry out a whisper of my name
in the world i was born,a child with no crown of thorns
just a demon with so many deep rooted horns
i praise god for death, rid me of my very breath
i cant look at you and i can never be the best
i got my soul and blade, gonna handle some pain
maybe then things wont have to be the same
i cut and i dice, plans of men and mice
someone call a priest to read you the last right
here i sit,in a dank cell
awaiting my visit to a place called hell
i killed just so you would acknowledge me
i killed and i gave no apologies
all for you....
electric chair,life isnt fair
im leaving this world and you still dont care
see me when me i cry,see me when i die
maybe you'll notice me when i fry
when i fry
when i fry
i killed you and you killed me
together in hell,blasphemy
you didnt care when you were alive
you didnt care as i watched you die
a circuit breaker tied to my head
maybe you'll notice me now that were dead....
dead...
dead...
FATHER!

An immensely dark poem written from an extremely talented poet. A remarkable poem, so powerful and strong on the dark side.
Well done.
*hugs*

i really liked the flow of this. it was a beautiful write, i was completely blown away. awesome job. i love seeing people get into the minds of people who do "bad things" such as killing, like the one in your poem. it's a sick cycle, that it is, but dang, you did a really nice job describing it, awesome! |
