Do you bleed?

Do you bleed?

Blood. Crimson. Red.
Whatever you call it!
This pain will keep me well fed
So much so that I won't quit

But that’s just me
What about you
Is this what you would like to be
Could this be what you do?

The scars that will appear
You will have to hide
If they find out, will they fear?
Of course they will not abide

How much would you bleed?
How deep would you slice?
How much pain would you need?
How many times would you dice?

What you use will be a choice
It will make you, you
And it will also make your voice
As well as help you when you are through

This will be the definitive truth
It will tell you what you are
If it hurts bite your lip with your tooth
But be careful not to let it go too far

Don’t give in to hate
Of others or you
Just stay calm and wait
Sorrow to others you might do

How much could you bleed?
How deep could you slice?
How much pain could you need?
How many times could you dice?

When you make the decision
That will be the final step
It will send you in to a collision
And you will know that on you this crept
So don’t be surprised then
This was a long time coming
Even so this is who you would have been
So this in your mind will be humming

It will be something quanta
But it will be weird
Sometimes you will faint
And it will be something that you feared

How much should you bleed?
How deep should you slice?
How much pain should you need?
How many times should you dice?

Now to the point
I don’t condone this
But if you find this to be your joint
Then I will condone with a kiss

Who am I to tell you no
I am just a man with a flaw
Now on your way you must go
And the crows will sing you along with their caw

Then with that you did leave
And I still wonder if you did
To my advice cleave
When a farewell to you I did bid

How much will you bleed?
How deep will you slice?
How much pain will you need?
How many times will you dice?

Now here you lay
With this your life fading
Only pain in your way
And only the wound will be parading

Time did pass and blood did flow
You went numb and got cold
It seemed too much you had to go
Against this is something to you I told

Why did this occur?
I told you to be warned
Is death what you prefer?
Now your others will be forlorn

How much did you bleed?
How deep did you slice?
How much pain did you need?
How many times did you dice?

I will not linger here
So away I will go
If I stay will cause fear
And I try to leave but no

Away from here I cant walk
As hard as I try I can’t leave
I try to speak but cannot talk
Slowly my heart starts to grieve

I now know why I felt for him
And taught him this way to be
For it was my life that was a sin
And I know now that he is me

How much could I bleed?
How deep should I slice?
How much pain will I need?
How many times did I dice?

i did enjoy reading this, self harm is a powerful subject to read about and i think poetry in many ways is a much easier way to express difficult feelings like this. Keep writing.
