Promise for Tomorrow

Contributed by SLiM_eLviS on Thursday, 12th May 2005 @ 09:41:09 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Red suns that make your shadow mine
They will show me your profile

And I, a figure in the shadows
Will contemplate your aspect from a ‘far
For me, I am sunk in tenebrous skies
They fathom no light

But I, from the eminent heights of the stars
Will love you clandestinely
Leaving no element
Of I, and this outlawed love

Tomorrow I will part from you
But still I’ll be intimately attendant
Like the midnight loving azure
That creeps into your room at night

Avowal of mine:
My heart will string along
The path that you may walk
Secretive in step

But I
From the crepuscule will gaze
Like the owl that sings to the moon
At your alluring guise

And in this darkness I will remain
To love you in its nostalgia
So that you may never cease life
And never be in need of love

In this way I love you
In this way I will die

Honestly I have no friggin clue what words like: tenebrous or crepuscule mean, but they sound so nice in your poem... almost cannonish. Thanks for sharing.
