Mum....

Contributed by xx_lil_devilish_angel_xx on Thursday, 12th May 2005 @ 02:00:42 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

You thought it was clever to take away,
Your life in a sweet second, you were left to drift away,
Pill by pill you lined up in a row,
Took them one by one ready to go.

I came back to see you crying, lying in bed.
Banged on the door, heard you say 'Go away, leave me alone!'
I tried to get in touch but you disconnected the phone.

I came in, saw you crying, lying in bed,
You were hoping you'd wake up to be lying there dead,
We gave you a chance but you became paranoid,
The Mum I knew now was the one I wanted to avoid.

I was dissappointed, but I still loved you,
I was shocked and upset didn't know what to do,
Stayed strong for you like you always said,
Didn't realise two weeks later you'd end up dead.

The ceremony began, I promised myself not to cry,
I did in the end until my throat went dry,
Thinking what would have happened if you'd have lived on,
Together we'd be still going strong.

I'll miss you now and I'll miss you forever,
Hoping that one day we can be together,
Why did you do it, was it me?
The answer to that I suppose I will never see.

beautifully written, but oh so horribly sad, you did the right thing though, you were there for her... try to never think it was anything you did or didnt do, when people decide that way to go there is little one can do, im so sorry for your loss, big hugs n' love nessa
