'Twas once assumed
I was ordained to sadness
Temptations of the heart
Virtually led me to madness
Everything I proceeded to do
Was always done wrong
My heart shadowed by darkness
'Twas like to hell I belonged
For the echoes of an elegy
Play over and over in my ear
The tormenting dreaded voice
That lulls for me to hear
Your attempt to seduce my heart
Shall fade away slowly then diminish
Courted by a forgotten empty soul
Your choosen path an ominous finish
Liasions of the heart
Can no longer occur
Painful wounds lay open
Leaving my heart's vision a blur
Endeavours with a new love
Washes stealth from this blackened heart
The elegy that once played in the shadows
Now lulls an empty tune of the past.

| Well Sue this write was really good and a different step from most of your love poetry. This is more my style but don’t let yourself continue writing this way. I hope everything is going okay with you and your Man. If you need anything know I’m here for you as you are always here for me. This write was sad and caught me of guard after so many writes of love. But like always this write was worded very well with a great choice of vocabulary. To hell with people who don't know what true love is all about! You had enuuf of his crap,& told him to take his love & shove it!! Brave little lady with a big heart,baby you gotta end the bad before the good can start!!! That you did & I'm so proud,my heart now beats for you nice & loud!!!! Great poem & a great acheivement!!!!!

My dear sweet Sue,
The past is the past my dear, and live it right there in the past. No one can live their lives while peering over their shoulder all the time. You will stumble and miss out on everything ahead of you.
This poem was so honest, sad, open, and very revealing. I hope you are all right. If not please let me know maybe I can help you.
