If love they said is king of kings, then let glory be my crown. Earth fades in flames before my wings, Than shouldn't the sun and the moon bow down. Lord this I knew would never do, And heaven is all to high. So whenever I meet a queen I say I shall not catch her eyes.

Oh Love they said, And Inlove they said, Well the gift of love be this. An crown of thorns upon my head, to put vinegar to my kiss. but sadness is not for me. and I'm content to be grey, So whenever I spot an sadder human I'll go another way.

But I never fear to see you wonder down the streets or cross the fields to meet me on human feet. For what they never told me of and what I never knew. Is that all this time my love, Love was merely you.
