Twilight

Topic: SadPoetry

Trapped inside my own dark mind
I'm lost and cannot cope
When I feel left behind
You are my only hope

Lighting up my darkening sky
Twilight do not dwindle
Although the clouds rise dark and high
The light we can rekindle

Your pale soft illumination
Glows and bathes my skin
Scarred with crimson illustration
One cut for every sin

I never appreciated your light
Until it was too late
I've draped myself in perpetual night
To hide from my true fate

Your soft radiance fills my soul
You set my mind at ease
Without you I cannot feel whole
And the darkness will not cease

A very graceful and lyrical piece, very well done indeed. The emotion expressed is very touching.

Write on.
