Oh Little Baby

Contributed by DayDreamer64 on Wednesday, 11th May 2005 @ 03:50:25 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Note:I have been really attached to this baby that my mother takes care of, so I decided to write a poem about it. Hope you all like it. I know lot's of girls/females will like it cuz-well.... boys, sorry but there's a special bond between a mother and her child and daughters will obviously understand that cuz they soon will have a child and plus, a mom spends more time with her daughter than her son cuz there's stuff they always talk about. Boys might understand but since some are just so... well.... some(some not all) are arrogant and won't even bother. So anyways hope you like it. Cuz I did!
Oh Little Baby

Oh little baby,
Don't cry,
I'm right here.
I'll be your mother for today.
I'll protect you,
I'll feed you.
Oh little baby,
Don't cry,
I'm right here.
I'll make sure no one hurts you,
I'll be the one to takes care of you,
I won't let anything happen to you.
Oh little baby,
Don't cry,
I'm right here.
Your mommy will be here soon,
But I'll be a substitute in her absence,
I'll be your mommy.
Oh little baby,
Don't cry,
I'm right here.
I'll always be here for you.
When you need to cry.
I'll be here when you laugh,
Oh little baby,
Don't cry,
I'm right here.
I'll be here when you are sleeping,
I'll be here when you need a hug,
I'll always be here with you.
Oh little baby,
Don't cry now,
I will always be right here...

first i liked your description of the mother-daughter bond... but don't forget the father-son bond, mother-son bond, and the father-daughter bond... each child and parent has a different bond to each other.... not saying that one is better than the other... i have a completely different but very equal bond with both my mom and dad... i wouldn't have said that guys are arrogant with the mother-daughter bond, just in the dark, like girls would be with a father-son bond... and for the record i am a guy (last i checked) and i'm pretty much in the dark with the parental side of parent-child bonds mainly because a child I have not.... i didn't mean for that to sound like a riddle like it may have lol.... anywho, on to the poem in question... i think its absolutely great, one of the best i read in a loooong time... and i'm not saying that just to disprove your 'arrogant boys' thing, but i honestly really did like it... its like a lullaby... i found myself lightly singing along with it as I read lol... weird sure, but for real, its honestly like a lullaby, whether you meant it to be that way or not, I think you should learn the poem by heart and sing it to the child when its sleepy time... i know i'd be all about that being a lullaby if i were still a baby lol... anyway keep up the good work...
