Lost

Contributed by Broken_Wingz on Wednesday, 11th May 2005 @ 11:15:28 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I have fallen off destiny's track,
and I'm not exactly sure why.
But ever since I took that fateful fall,
it takes all I have not to cry.

There's no easy way to explain how I feel,
except to say I've lost all hope.
Walking backwards in a blinding blizzard,
leaves me with no way to cope.

I've lost my faith in God.
The One who knows us all.
I've lost my faith because of him.
He should have known I was going to fall.

He should have held my hand,
and let me know I wasn't alone.
Am I living in self-pity?
I still say he should have known.

The hardest part of falling off
is not believing in myself.
My faith, my love and hope
have now been placed upon a shelf.

Just slightly out of reach
are all the things I need.
That bitter realization only
leaves me wanting to bleed.

My vision has become blurred
by all the evil that clouds my sight.
I have no rose coloured glasses
and only demons left to fight.

It is said we all have a purpose,
A reason why we are here.
But if this is my true purpose
then there is nothing left to fear.

Rock bottom really isn't such a bad place
because it can't get much worse than this.
But being truely happy,
is the one thing that I miss.

this is a real beautiful one.really loved it cauz i can relate it to myself.i felt the same things bout 7-8 months ago so my advice to you is turn dark.so dont struggle anymore cauz its only gonna bring more self-pity turn dark accept that god aint gonna help and u will feel rage against him and just about everyone else and defy him and dont let him feel pleasure over ur helplessness.

i wrote something, check it out, might help you out of this feeling.

you kill me but i refuse to die, intensify the pain i wont cry.
tear my flesh to make bleed, perpetuate my suffering but i wont plead.
keep me chained but i will still touch the sky, cauz i refuse to give up "I DEFY"
BEST OF LUCK

frightening and real. there is nothing that you need to do to change what you've written, it's yours and how you feel....I miss happiness too, wondering when this terrible feeling will end, feels like it has lasted forever, but IT WILL get better, don't ever forget that you ARE FREE!!!
Thanks for the great poem!
Kareless
