im over u

Topic: LostLove

Longing for what used to be
A long lost friendship
Which once turned into love
Loss of hate
Dreams in sight

How we could laugh and smile
Thinking you wouldn't hurt me
That you were worth the while
Gaze into my eyes now, you no longer peer into my soul
You no longer make me whole

Hanging by your every word
How we would have "separation anxiety"
The feelings I felt in each and every kiss
It's funny how you still thought I was overwhelmed with bliss

The slightest touch,
Brought my feelings astir,
But now they're nothing,
Not like they were.

The feelings seem to have vanished,
I can not save them,
They need to be banished.
You left me here no longer in doubt.

Once upon a time,
in fairy tale land,
we used to walk,
hand in hand.

The days of us have came and gone,
I'm leaving all the hurt in the past.
It's over, I'm giving up.
Yes, I'm saying it, for i am done.

I thought you were the best thing
to ever happen in my life
now i no longer want to tough it out
I've lost you, i no longer want you to become my wife.

i have moved on
i found a new love to guide my life
I don't care about us, all we had is gone
I no longer need the knife.

I have given all my love to someone new
someone so unlike you
she will never let me down, nor will she hurt me
i have given up on everything we "used" to be

The love that was always there
the feelings you thought you knew
yet you were so unaware
I'm sorry, but this is what i must do

i no longer need nor want you
not anything we had, not anything we lost
take this, move on, find someone new
i suppose i paid the price for loving you

i have someone perfect
just for me
someone of which i truly adore
I've moved on and forgot yesterday, i found a greater tomorrow

i have love in my life
assurance for tomorrow
i have thrown out the knife
for now i have my own personal guide

i don't need you ever again
i left you for good
i ran away from your sin
i no longer have to keep you in
i no longer have to pretend

i want the world to know
i want to let it show
I'm in love with the most precious person of all the world
this person not being you

Losing love will never lose the pain
When you've loved and lost all in vain.

Thank God somehow you've recovered
from what happened. Remember, you
can't move on to the future if you keep
on living in the past.

This is a great poem you've wrote.
I enjoyed reading it. Keep writing!
I'll keep on reading!
By the way, you should check out most of
my poems, I think they could help you
recover more.

-Butch

I almost cried when I read this. I once felt like this towards a man.
I was so young and so confused.
I loved him so much even though all he did was use me and bring me down.
I havn't found a new love yet, but I'm sure theres someone waiting out there.
So in the end I say that this poem was so touching and I hope there are more to come.

THNX for writing this.
