Froggin'

Contributed by S_K_Williamson on Thursday, 11th July 2002 @ 12:32:08 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

The trees a silhouette
against the sky
The sparkling stars
that catch your eye
The sounds of nature
so real...so true
I can hear the frogs now
can't you too?
They sound content
happy with their plight
I feel that too
here with you at night
You pull me close
you kiss my ear
I'm in your arms
I know no fear
Time goes so quick
it hurries past
I wish the days
moved half as fast
The nights we miss
are lone and long
I wonder if the frogs
still sing their song
I wonder...
are they lonely too
Those nights when I'm
not here with you

Hey there Sharon,
First time back to the site, (I`m confused, so many options, it will take some getting used to), and then I see Froggin`. Have I ever mentioned that I think this is a GREAT poem? If ever a poem rated 5 stars, it`s this one.
See ya. Thumbsucker

It`s funny how some poems are quickly read, then quickly forgotten and how, every now and then, underneath a great title lies a brilliant poem that touched all the right chords with me.
This little poem might not do much for you, but it gets 5 STARS from me AND it rates THUMBSUCKER`S TOP FIVE YPDC ALL TIME FAVORITES.
Brilliant Sharon. Your admirer, Thumb
