Everlasting

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

It is just that sometimes,
I get lost in the grey
between right and wrong,
And the faceless ones beat me down.

I never meant for you to see me like this,
I never meant to do this to us,
But things slipped away and out of control.
And now the hard part starts.

With tears of silver tonight,
You cry out my eyes.
They trickle down
and pierce the blood and shame before me.

And so it has come to this,
My heart balncing on the edge of a knife.
I look up at you between loose strands of hair
from my fetal position in the corner.
My tears fall like the rain showers
we danced in.
I ask you to not give up on me,
On us...

You turn away ,
gaining your composure,
And my heart stops,
and my head drops.
And in two strides,
I'm suddenly in your arms.
Wiping away my mortification,
You give me your silver kiss of healing,
pulling the knife away from my life source,
And chaining our love to forever.

I have tried desperately to hold on to love before like this....it hurts so deeply....because sometimes things do get out of control and things are said and things are done that cannot be taken back but we can only hope that they understand that the entire reason some things were done and said were out of fear of losing them or fear that we would be left and tossed away from the one that we love so.....this is so deeply written and i enjoyed it alot....thank you my friend for sharing this beautiful write it brought tears to my eyes....
