The Road To Nowhere

Reaching blindly to grab the sky at dusk,
the willow stood formidable.
Far away lights beyond the bay
dance within the wooded marsh,
(I saw it from the porch)
just past that road to no where.
Revere Beach The Cove
and Kelly's at 2:00am...
we sat along the breakers
the nights activities
a lifetime past
A distant high rise shimmers
in the middle of it all,
a beacon of torn down hope
and lost love.
I wanna go back to the time
when never would I sit
and wonder why.
But on that cool spring day
the storm would subside,
the sun shined
and I got lost in a series
of quick jokes and bad puns:
"...Garrison right?"
But the memories drug me
with a lazy grace
that belie their ferocious nature
and again I'm lost,
held in the embrace
of magnificent guilt.
Far away lights
just beyond the bay,
the starlight never more beautiful,
as I look on and die inside...
just past that road to no where.

Sometimes we mistakenly get on the wrong road that does lead to nowhere. There are roads that lead somewhere that would make you happy and fulfill your soul. The universe is swirling with places like that. You just have to look for them and honestly want to find it. I wish you strength and peace.

"As I look on and die inside...just past that road to nowhere."
*sigh* I am walking that lonely road myself right now...Nicely done. Lots of nostalgia and heartache in this write...

Ah yes, that empty, desolate road meant for solitary journey ...
Dearest billy, it is in these writes that I feel you the most...
Deeply moving.
~Breezy
(silently wiping a tear and wishing the hugs she sends
could really be of comfort ....)
