A block in me has fallen into place,
Satisfaction from your words,
The verbal embrace,
Lets leave it at that,
Because to hurt, is to chase.
The embrace,
“...a nice guy”,
I wish I had won the race.
But now with tears in my eyes,
I must let you fly.
And now I know,
Against my will,
I must let you go.
Its not because I didn’t love you,
But rather a sacrifice I made because of you,
Its not with every girl that I behave this way.
So remember me, while I fade from you, into the rain.
In a moment you showed me the light of day.
Broke the clouds,
And gave me wings of sorrow to fly away,
Now I must find my dream on another day.
Everything will be ok,
And I still flower from what you say,
Life is beautiful,
But we all must find our own way.
