Despair is a hollow black
It smells like the dark dank prison cell of prisoners long since forgotten
It tastes like the dry pathetic taste of a broken promise or an unkept secret
It sounds like the screeching of a black cat tormented, homeless, and alone on a freezing October night
It feels like a dull rusty knife slowly being pushed into the pure heart of the betrayed victim
It looks like the stone, hollow, black heart of an unloved victim of torture, agony, and angst

it was short and to the point, I like that in poems sometimes, some poems can take you all over the place and you still have no clue what they are talking about, so I think you did pretty good. |

I like it. Good imagery. Most people don't use all five senses. (But you doing so was a good thing. ) |
