Thanks for Nothing

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Tuesday, 10th May 2005 @ 03:44:31 PM in AEST
Topic: ThankYouPoems

You’ve always been there, [at the wrong moment],
Countless times you’ve guided me, [down the wrong path],
Always showing love and affection, [lecherous hands all over],

Thank you for all that you’ve done…

Daily philosophies of life through your eyes,
Never taking the blindfold off,
I was never permitted to see for myself…
Your rules, your house, your slave,
Everything was yours,
I owned nothing,
Not even myself…

Thank you for showing me how worthless I am…

Screams of indignation, disappointment, rage,
I’ve set you off again,
It seems like nothing is good enough,
Will I ever make you proud?
Slap me in the face again, knock some sense into me,
You view me as ignorant, deaf and mute,
Father, you never give me a chance,
To open my mouth, and speak my words…

Thank you for never listening…

Stripping me of my dignity, my freedom,
Too long… too long under this horrid tyranny,
Languishing high on your mighty throne,
Crushing my face into the dirt,
Ravaging my heart, with every word you whisper…

Dying beneath your monstrous hazel eyes,
Always beneath you,
Is that all I am? Is wretchedness all that you see in me?

Thank you for making me feel like **** every moment of my life…

Tangled in my own web of guilt and uncertainty,
Do I forgive you? Why should I?
Do you feel pain? How could you?

I’m so confused, not knowing what to do,
You implore for my acceptance, you say you’ll change,
Sugar-coated deceptions, everything is a lie…

Thank you for never telling me the truth…

The cause of my anguish, haunting memories,
Horrifying nightmares of the monster,
You…
Murderer of my heart, rapist of my mind,
Father, Daddy dearest,

Thank you…

For nothing…

Wow! A very sad and expressive write. I sure would like to see your dad read this and maybe finally see all the pain he has caused you. It is so unfair when the ones who are suppose to guide, lead us in the wrong direction. My heart goes out to you! May you find happiness inside, where your true beauty shines! Angel always...godspeed...joni

Dearest Stephy,
I'm so sorry he's caused you pain
Bitter heart breaking strife
You've been under his rule
For most of your life
Hang tuff my sweet friend
I hope he suffers too
May he feel the hurt and pain
That he's put u through
I'm here for you beautiful lady
May God heal ur hurting heart
Wash away all the horrid pain
That for long has torn u apart
Bless your heart dear Stephy
You're a talented dear friend
I'm always here for you
Right 'til the very end...

May ur sweet heart heal my friend.
*love 'n' hugs*
your friend,
~sue~

Good for you get it off your chest and you might find the peace that you are obviously looking for. Some men are really cesspits and I am a man. top marks for venting your rage from bernard.

"You view me as ignorant, deaf and mute,"

I am surprised that that could even cross
someone's mind for a fleeting second and if
your dad does truly think that I think it is HIM
that is ignorant, deaf, and mute. Anyway I
loved this poem it was scathing and written
with utmost honesty. Keep up the awesome
writing Steph... hopefully we can talk soon I've
been really busy these last few days.
