Kings have wept
Before I,
Kings have killed and murdered.
Kings have gone mad!
And better than me,
For all the world to see.
So why do I,
In home and in dark
Under the sweetest quilt
(Paid for by mother)
Want to melt away
For fear of being
Who I am and was meant to be.

I really enjoy reading poems that aren't about broken hearts, cutting ones self or "you don't even notice me" This is really good!! |

I’m not sure if I agree with you, i do like reading those types of poems if they are any good, Anne Sexton for example. Sometimes you can be honest about the way you feel without just saying it straight. I think the type of poetry i like reading, even if i can't write it, takes more effort than just telling people why i'm so miserable, or happy or whatever. |

I like this. The imagery is good and it is a write that makes you ponder. Good job.
