The Best Part Of The Day

When my world isn’t going right
All I have to do is think of you
Picturing your smiling face
Is enough to pull me through
You are always there
Shining a light on my darkest hour
It’s amazing what you do for me
Very few have the power
I keep your picture by my desk
It’s unbelievable how much you’ve grown
You’re daddy’s little boy
The best thing I’ve ever known
What a blessed gift you have been
The brightest star in my sky
In the morning when I leave for work
It hurts to say good-bye
So I think of you through-out the day
My attempt to keep you near
I place your picture against my chest
So my heart thinks you’re here
In a few hours I’ll be coming home
And we can go out and play
When you jump into my arms
It’s the best part of the day
