Unborn Dove Rainbows

Contributed by ladyfawn on Sunday, 29th December 2002 @ 12:40:00 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Oh, Unborn child, did you ever know
These arms held so much love for you
~Why did you have to go?~
My heart and soul in you, is still entwined
And revolves around you, in endless time.

You are now a rainbow as I look above
Though look next to you; your not alone my Dove
I knew you deep inside me, with all my heart
Did not know before we met, we would part.

There is some comfort in the knowing
Although sweet stories we can't be sharing
You are no longer there alone anymore
I wait here and will someday open that door.

Little Darling let me tell you why it is I cry
Our family is apart; you & your daddy in the sky
And yet there were the little Unborn Twins-
No time for balls, soccer games, diaper pins..

Halfway incubated to seeing teddy bears
The ultrasound 'picture show' was bare-
Little piles quietly lying on the bottom
Only pictures ever of you & still I've got 'em.

All of you together now, my lost loves
On a Rainbow soaring with an Eagle-
~My three little Doves~
So Kids, now you know when you look down
Moms looking for Rainbows from Earths ground.

~in tune of kids jumping ropes~:

"Coulda been! Woulda been! Shoulda been 6!
Let's All Go Now; We'll play 'Pick-up Sticks' !
Look Mom We're high up at Rainbows Gate!
Shoulda been! Woulda been!; Someday be 8!"

Hi Ladyfawn,
This is so sad and so beautifull at the same time. Thank you so much for sharing!
I lost a set of twins before they were born way back when. Never knew if the were boys or girls or both. I can relate to the loss of twins.
I'm so sorry even tho it's been awhile.
Take care.
LUV, PEACE, HEALING,
emy

Although words can never fully express the feelings of a child lost, I feel that you have captured the sorrow and put forth the sadness very well. My heart truly aches for your loss, and I send along my (((HUGS)))
with hopes to bring you cheer.

wordsy.

Thank you ALL from the very depths of my heart for your comments on this; the hardest one I have ever written, it makes me cry when I read it; it is the only one I've written that consistently tears me apart again and again.. I thank you so much !
love and huggs,
always Nessa

As we sit together, though across the miles
In silence we remember,in silence we smile
For all they were then, and all they are now
They shine from above and touch us somehow
For every sunrise and each starlit sky
We often think back and silently cry
Yet as we are weeping,we're suddenly aware
We had but a moment, but that moment we shared
Their breath still remains, their souls in our hearts
So together we're one, though miles apart...

i dont usually leave a poem in feedback but I just had to properly say what was in my heart after reading your poem...Its...absolutely beautiful! (((huggers)))

I have goosebumps from the my feet to my hairline. The title was one of the best I have ever seen. This is a masterpiece and I have to tell you that if someone could reach in and break my heart you have done it. Moving beyond mere words I could ever type to you. Please think about resubmitting this because there are sooooooooooo many new people. I don't think i've ever been so moved in my life. ((Hugs)) Kie
