A Lesson For Those Who Watch

Contributed by reflections on Monday, 9th May 2005 @ 06:07:33 AM in AEST
Topic: PoemsonBeauty

The wind curtsied, the breeze bowed.
The ritual of the leaves began.
The winter’s air was a swirl of red
as the whirlwind upward ran.

The tops of the trees swayed in the breeze
as the wind danced down each limb.
Once foliage-green, now in between,
the dirge and the requiem.

The celebration lasts not long.
Each tree is this year’s tomb.
But deep inside each bare limb’s wall,
hides life for next year’s bloom.

Unbelieveable.!
Only three stanzes that are so full, that they burst and overflow with meaning and portent.
Can only say, this is another RESURRECTION theme of incomparable beauty.!
Blessings!
Elizabeth

Nice work! Simple and gracefully spoken.
