Coping

Contributed by Man_On_High on Sunday, 8th May 2005 @ 07:58:25 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

The sign read: Parkway Diesel
as I strode the way head hung,
side streets riddled with potholes
railroad tracks and the like...

Deep in the heart
of the industrial park
I'd memories of time spent
alone and unified,
9 to 3 on weekend nights...

We made love just there,
laughing and rolling
under cover, electric.
The moon was high
and we promised each other
love and good times forever
passionate, intense.

I sunk further as I swam in the dark
in the memory of you

The night alive,
it's breath fresh and warm
moaning softly
with distant rumbles
of wound out Harleys,
1 then 2...
sirens softly fading,
remebering how we sat talking
finishing each others sentences
and I wonder why
it ever had to end.

Sweetest~ I am awash in emotion from this. Firstly, for your pain [that I know
is akin to my own] and secondly, for the exacting memories that flood my
own heart and soul.

I am shredded ~ so sobering these words. Your talent betrays your
own tortured soul as it begs the opinion that sad you need not be, for
look at what you have layed down. Look at what the very birth of your
sadness has created.. [the cost of genius.] Though, I feel, we should
remember, endings (though sad), mean also, beginnings. As humans,
each path; every single step we have bore on life's road, has led us
to our fulfillment. (be it present or future ..)

And isn't that the point? : )

with enormous affection,

~Breezy
