I thought I'd buy you flowers
but then... someday they'd die...
I thought I'd buy you candy
but there was... no ... never ending supply...
I thought I'd get you jewlery ... to hang around you neck
but if the clasp gets broken.... you may not know where it went
I could not think of one thing ... that did not have flaw
Other than the words:.. I love you after all...
Through all the precious memories...
... those happy and those sad...
You are the perfect mother...
...that a child ever had!
