Yellow.
She is seeing yellow.
Walls and halls and fields and oceans.
Everything is yellow.
Shadows.
Darkness.
Nightfall.
The things that come out of the cracks
in the doorway.
The closet as it opens,
Like a mouth it opens.
Swallowing.
Inside the things that look at her...
All with eyes of yellow.
Their teeth and fangs, and grins and lips,
All sneer back in yellow.
Everything is yellow.
Everything is yellow.
On the sea,
On a boat.
Underneath...
The shadow grows...
And grows and grows...
And as it nears...
She sees the beast is yellow.
The beast is always yellow.
Everything is yellow.
Everything is yellow.
Inside of her.
Inside of her.

Her nightmares, always yellow.

Scary poem. Good thing my favorite is ... purple! no ... blue... no green! Well it's one of those, anyway. heh
