Translucent feelings, masked anger and superficial lust.
Squawking socialites in their stone towers
Crouching together to peck at their fallen comrades
Like vultures on a rancid corpse.
Yet worse than cowled birds of carrion the corpse still breaths.
Alive in all countenance bar fashionable acceptability.
Tearing away the living tissue
Scattering the remains in the howling winds
Awaiting the time that next they meet
And another falls from their social perch.
