Hypocrisy

The hypocrisy of life drips slowly down the dry wind sill,
bathed only in the wetness of stupidity and faultless (ha) thoughts.
To argue languidly while sipping ambrosia in your
leather suit makes you above;
reciprocating the gestures of distaste in disgust.
Yet you little notice the disdain with which life greets you.
To your own logic you are sane and no less than imperfection.
Drearily smudged with age and time weary travels
you claim experience as knowledge and discount sense,
all in the aim of immortality (frailty).
Yet your head-dress dulls your wit, the speed your insight
and as loved ones you perish.
‘haps not in the literal sense but in spirit you ooze
until your evaporated self is replenished by the tears on the wind sill.

after reading a few of your poems ive seen that since you put a lot of force, meaning or power, in your lines, they seem distance from other lines. the way that i try and fix that is by connecting lines with conjunctions, but sometimes that doesnt work either. though the fact that you have power and/or meaning in your words is a step up than a lot of poems i read on here. keep on trucking...i mean writing =] |
