sunk beneath the fact that
hope floats
to gasp for air and realize
you were breathing all along
to be conservative with what you say
knowing it to be impossible
to be proven wrong
forgetting what was right
as time passed on only remembering
you were hiding
fallen were hopes never made
cruelty cutting the dullest blade
balanced by what you beleive
watching as what you thought was clear fade
only to realize it was your vision
pretend to be so sweet
aspartame the ground
in wich you lay your feet
crumble beneath you
wait to fall but you were still left standing

I think most of us fall into the follow the crowd mentality at lease until maturity findally leads us away.Perhaps this is why Jesus refered to us as sheep. I think dumb sheep. Your poem speaks of truth good job and keep posting.
