The Gathering

It was a rainy day
The clouds had pushed the sun away
For this was a sad day
Friends and family gathered around
To watch the one they love be buried into the ground
As the preacher spoke
His mother's heart broke
His father for once began to cry
And dropped to his knees asking why
They buried him into the ground
Forever knowing he was heaven bound
