Love comes in colors
But it fades as the light through an evening sky
We look to the future for an answer
In return, the future looks to us to cry
Weary as we carry on
Drag his name with us under the bridge
Cold water and peerless beauty
Crystal clear understatement, walking along the shadowed ridge
Closing time crosses the moonlight
Grand cases of fine china fall to pieces upon a stone floor
No need for bars in the window
Splinters fly from the shattered wooden door
We crush our understanding
Feel the rush of love at the bottom of my spine
I grip your fingers tightly
A euphoria of emotions as our feelings intertwine
I stretch to kiss your forehead
And am crushed by the glory of your face
My heart skips a thousand times in a second
And I close my eyes, hoping to never leave this beautiful place

i really liked this, especially the parts about the splinters flying from the wooden door and the china falling to the stone floor. Great job. |
