The wind whistles softly
Through the evergreens in the meadow
Grasshoppers hop on by
Over the flowers they shadow
I sit amidst the daisies
Picking off each petal one by one
Waiting for the day
That my way you'll come
The spring time skies aroma
From scented flowers in bloom
Birds flying about merrily
Singing away all of winter's gloom
I lay down and await
For the time to come
When our two loving hearts
Shall become together as one
The moon's shadowing umbrae
Parshily blankets the sky
As a shooting star
Falls from way up high
Underneath the cascading stars
I make my heartfelt wish heard
Repeating every single line
So I don't miss out a word
Take my heart into your hands
Please treat it with care
For a lifetime of love
With you I want to share
So here I lay quietly
Under the moonlit sky
Dreaming of you
As time slowly goes by

When you speak fom the heart, about matters of the heart, you are at your best. a wonderful poem that touches each who read it with the same emotion you were feeling when you wrote it. Impressive, and beautiful.

| This is a beautiful dream that you put into very well written words. This is my dream most of the time these days. I lay here and think of seeing my girl again and will it workout. In my mind I see how it will happen but that’s in my dreams for the time being. This was a very good write like always Sue and thank you for sharing it.
