Elapse of Pain and Tears

Contributed by blue_angel on Wednesday, 4th May 2005 @ 09:40:47 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Followed by the shadows of darkness
I hear footsteps behind me again
Stalking me and haunting me
I miss you not my friend
Carefully placing every step
I wince within your grasp
Your cold, dirty fingers grip my throat
For air and life I gasp
Cutting off the circulation
My body going numb
Behind me must I keep my past
Afraid of what’s to come
A great elapse of pain and tears
I cry away my sorrow
I cannot face the yesterday
Nor the next tomorrow
In a place of fear and cold
A world of black and white
It is my undying soul
That will radiate the light

This was a really good write my words could never do it justice. It had so much pain emotion in it and was written with perfection in your choice of words. Once again another great write and I look forward to many more. Everyone of your writes I read I see how beautiful you must be as a person. Take care and keep up the great works of art. Talk to you later….Steve

this poem and your other my fire represent a strong change in content in your work - namely, progression from the tortured life you live to a... what's the word, a liberation, a rebellion, an unshackling of who you are from the darkness that tries to smother you. if you were just simply a fine poet, i would be impressed, but someone who has to live the way you do, and keep the sanity and rise above it and shines with such brilliance, well i don't have words to describe that...
