Onto the bloody battlefield I ride
With my high held pride.
Warriors come from left and right
To join in the unending fight.
With a terrifying roar
I charge, head-on, to settle the unpaid score.
My sword held high;
Lightning flashes in the sky.
My arm swinging to and fro,
Warding off the attack of my foe.
Outnumbered a thousand to one,
Will this day ever be done?
Long have I been on the roam,
Longer still since I have been home.
My eyes are tired from this endless quest;
My body wants only to rest.
The light of my day
Is the only thing that keeps despair away.
He is my strength when I am weak.
With his love I am able to perform at my peak.
I long for the day when I will return to his embrace,
To see his smile light up his face.
This day cannot come soon enough;
The day that I will truly triumph.
