WHAT DO I DO
I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO TURN
YOU'VE TAKEN ALL I HAVE
MY BODY BEGINS TO BURN

A SECRET I KEEP IN MYSELF
I CAN'T TELL ANYONE
IT'S THE ONLY CONTROL I HAVE
I HOLD MYSELF FROM EVERYONE

THE PAIN I FEEL INSIDE MY SOUL
I WISH IT WASN'T REAL
FOR IF I SMILE AWAY MY TEARS
THE HURT I WILL CONCEAL

SO SHY AWAY ALL I KNOW
HOPING IT WILL DISIST
BUT I KNOW WHEN I'M LEFT ALONE
I WON'T BE ABLE TO RESIST

A CUT I HAVE MADE INSIDE MY BODY
NO ONE WILL FIND OUT
FOR IT'S NOT IN THE SKINS APPEARANCE
I'M LEFT WITHOUT A DOUBT

PAIN CAN BE OF ANY COLOR
ON THE SIDE OF EMOTION OR MIND
AS IT'S EXPRESSED IN ITS OWN WAY
MY BODY FEELS THE BIND

Not bad at all...I like it.

While every care is taken to ensure the general sites content is family safe, our moderators cannot be in all places; all the time. Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
