If I'm Going to Hell, You're Coming Along

Contributed by jyssvw on Wednesday, 4th May 2005 @ 05:27:56 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

If I’m going to hell
Make no mistake about it
You’re coming along
If it’s your soul that I tell
Then I’m singing it
It’s last love song
A whore, ready to sell
As street corner
Couldn’t get no more wrong
Water from this dry well
Thirsty skin moans
Shattered bones swell
If I take this plunge
I expect no less from you
Or at least what I get for two

Two years of my death
Was taken from me
Four days to this month
Time shortens for us bums
Inebriated and drunk
Stoned to waste
A depleted funk
Drink down the chase
Preclude this imposter
Don’t let him inside
A deluded encounter
Jesus was on his side
He just sits and seems to ponder
Where he left his pride

Belligerent and grumpy
Your face suddenly fell flat
Cantankerously bumpy
A ride to hell unlike that
The woven basket of cork
Floats on her belly
The heavy wooden fork
Anxious to sit and eat already
Pot full of potato stew
A fresh pot of coffee
The smoke inside begins to brew
You could calculate the probability
With the wooden knife
There are no second chances
You are my wife
There are no more romances

Very good poem---I love it! I really like the line; cantankerously bumpy...! Nice ending too, bit of a surprise. Scorp.

Wow! I read it twice. It's intriguing. I'm trying to understand, - but, I'm kinda slow witted.
