A nightmare flew before my eyes,
The world had crashed, I could feel it die,
I heard it shatter, but could not see,
Through tears of which were drowning me.
I heard a voice call out my name,
I could hear echoes here for many days,
I never knew I had pushed away,
Until I realized way too late.
And I screamed out loud, to ease the pain,
Begged and called, 'come back again'
But once you came, it came again,
realization, I am not a friend.
I cried myself into the shame,
I knew I was the one to blame,
I never knew I had pushed away,
Until too late.
