Just Pretend

Contributed by brunetteshay89 on Wednesday, 4th May 2005 @ 10:19:41 AM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

Put on a happy face
The ones who see you must see you this way
Or they will ask questions
What will you say?
Will you say that they cause you a lifetime of pain?
Or will you pretend
Pretend that you are one amoungst them
Just be looked over in the crowd
Because you are what you are
Fake
You look the part, so why not embrace it?
Have an okay, so-so life
Pretend you're happy
Don't find true love, don't try to make right what's wrong,
Just pretend you're happy
You are what people say you are,
So just make them say you're happy
Maybe one day you'll be happy
And you won't have to
Just pretend.
