Bleeding Verses On Paper

Bleeding Verses On Paper

The verses aren't worth reading
When written without reason.
The words are slashed into bleeding
With my own hate and treason.

The words would have otherwise rotted
Upon the desecrated page never to be read,
And so all of the words are slashed or blotted
On every verse that has not yet bled.

The words never lived and will never die,
Despite that I've bled them of imperfection.
They only exist to be poetic lies
That the verses are perfection.

You know Jen that I do not like this poem...not because its not showing your talent, just because it is saying you never had it and such....sadly jen.....YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO PEOPLE....cuz you are a amazing writer....and do not argue with me masa....I am right...and I can get amny to vouch for me too...so HA!...
Good luck Jen....wonderful write, even if I don't like the message....little kids...

This was great and wonderfully written. I love the fact that it's open to a fair amount of interpretation ^ ^ Keep rocking.

What beautiful imagery you've written here, but I'm not so sure about the message. The conclusion was one of strong sentiment, it seems. Then again, I'm not so sure I agree with it. If you're talking about some nobody down the street who does that, then sure why the heck wouldn't I agree with it? But you on the other hand....no, I just can't. How can they be lies if they stand out to me so much? Unless of course I love lies and am oddly attracted to writes that deal with lying. Am I (psst, that was a rhetorical question :P ).

I loved this poem, because it's something we just have to write sometimes and it's just so relatable. I've been there, but havent found a way to properly say it, like you have here. It seemed to be a cathartic kind of poem, and do this as much as you want if you produce this kind of quality work. Not at all surprised by this, it was another greatly crafted and well written piece. Tasty : )

I agree with the first comment that you need
to listen people when they say that you are an
amazing poet or poetess if you prefer lol.
Anyway to be honest I didn't really get this it
seemed angry, but I think it was the subject
that confused me and also the first line
becuase this was definitely worth reading!

Jen, I'm sorry, I'm gonna disagree with you here (what a surprise, huh? lol)
I think you are an amazing write, one of my favourites in fact.
I know what it's like to feel like your poems aren't good, but, in this case, I don't think it's true. I honestly love your words.

*hugs tons and tons*

truly a powerful poem with such feeling in it. Just know that there are works out there that are worthy of being read by others eve if the writer dosnt think so. and yes they will die if you dont let them be heard. nothing is ever perfect so dont stress over it if it needs fixing the time will come when it will be fixed and all will be well.
this was a good poem to read, if this was about others writings then I will take care to perfect my writing as best as I can before posting. Keep your chin up it will get easer. later
