a smile plays across my lips
a hint of happiness drifts in the air
giggles of joy,merry kids at play
ahh yes.....Summer is on its way
the smell of fresh cut grass
perfume of rain, sunshine and roses
Scent of hot concrete, metal and tar
ahh yes.....Summer is not to far
Warbles and chirps,merry twitters and loud caws
wafting from leafy boughs
light ruffle of wind played leaves
....summer whispers to me on the breeze
from summer flowers to the sunny heat
with gayety and endless revelry
and you to join me in summers timeless stream
such is what this young poet dreams
swept away on the melody of summers breeze.......

| beautiful style - i'm excited for summer too! the last 2 lines were lovely. remember the space after the comma and apostrophe s for every possessive noun, unless you were using it for artistic purposes. good job! |
