Kisses in a Bucket

Contributed by jyssvw on Tuesday, 3rd May 2005 @ 03:11:37 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

All that’s left to do
Is cry your last goodbye
In the sweet morning dew
The blue glistens from your eyes
All that remains behind
Is the soul of a happier time
Is your heart ripped in two?
Or is it only mine?

Let me guess
I'v seen this show before
Let you digest the thought
I’ll show your skeleton to the door
Let you pretend,
Like the actors of the stage
Quickly descend
Or forever be a rat caged

Obliging your request
In our world I invest
Yet you seem to always contest
The miracles you took in jest
The jester of the castle
The pretender of the practical
A contender for the merciful
I surrender to the impermeable

My rights have been trampled
My core dissected for its sample
A drop of love in a bucket
The rest is set as an example
A symbol of my resentment
To you-
When is this letter due?
How can we be through?
Is your heart broke in two?

They all used to say
What a nice couple we made
When we kissed they stared
What I missed is that you cared
Then quickly a fist of despair
Lead to this list that compares
And the kiss that isn’t there

So much sorrow and longing...my gut wrenches. This is written so well. What an amazing love it must've been for you to still miss her...I hope for your sake, you get what your heart so desires...
