Look at that girl, sitting there still.
Utterly focused on what she is writing.
Her body is here,
But her imagination has taken her miles away.
She writes one word, stay.
Look at her there, writing her way.
She’s trying to be honest, she is afraid.
She truly cares.
She’s protective on the surface, it will all end today.
She writes one word, stay.
Look at her, smiling secretly.
She’s thinking of him, the perfection of them.
She’s so in love.
But he can’t see her beauty within, he is blind in a way.
She writes one word, stay.
Look, hidden pain, a silent tear.
She knows he is leaving her for good this time.
Her body shakes.
Her mind, speechless now, as he turns from her and drifts away.
She writes one word, stay.
