Lay down dying in your arms,
I apologise for causing you harm,
All I ever wanted to do,
Was to make you smile, I wanted to love you.
But I trampled all over our love,
I choked our beautiful, white dove,
I spat in the face of your desire,
I made you walk across my razor wire.
My sorries echo in your room,
The space I filled with hate & gloom,
Your heart now a place where darkness lies,
I don’t deserve forgiving as I sit here & cry.
All we had & all I destroyed,
I treated you bad, just like my toy,
I always thought you would come back,
But you didn’t & gave our love the sack.
I killed your soul, I killed it dead,
I messed with your emotions & your head,
You will find me lay here dead in your arms,
I am sorry my love that I caused you harm.

| This was a sad write but also very powerful. I to have destroyed a love once in my life and lost it forever so I feel the pain. But you wrote of it so beautifully and it had a very strong ending which makes it a really good write. Take care and as always I look forward to more writes….Steve |

Well written poem of love lost. Sad, but an admiral quality of an estranged lover who treated their lover badly; but at least is teking responsability for their poor behavior. No blaming.... I like that
