Get the red roses ready

Contributed by pUnKa_RaCh on Tuesday, 3rd May 2005 @ 08:07:55 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Get the red roses ready
Prepare the flowers for the perishing of me

For soon you will

Place them onto my coffin in a beautiful array
For I am gone and for my dark soul please pray

Then write my name in petals whilst you cry
Don’t let your hearts be troubled for I want to die

Forgive my sin but I have been fading for too long
Life was too hard for me I simply was not strong

Which lead to this moment of burying me now
To this unseen event while your heavy heads you bow

The rain will fall while the beloved roses bleed red
Remember me while your long- awaited goodbyes are said

Lower my polished coffin into the ground
Finally lasting happiness I have found.

A very sad, but beautiful poem. Very nicely written!
