The truth about True Love

Contributed by evilfairy on Tuesday, 3rd May 2005 @ 12:08:07 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

She whispers her secrets to the willing ear
To those who grapple & scramble to be near.
She walks always one step ahead
And her worshippers follow, eager to be led

She paints a picture with the colours of sunset
With a world shown all in silhouette.
And she writes words of an exotic night
And a red rose caught in dreamy candlelight

Past the empty streets of bitter loneliness
She’ll tempt you with her caress
Beyond the rot and decay she’ll lead you
To show you a wondrous, eternal view.

She’ll throw her voice to the far corners of earth
Drowning out the haunting cries of dearth
And her touch will waken the sleeping
But pass over the lost and the weeping.

She teases and torments and they beg her for more
Despite the crushing blows, they seek only to adore.
And she smiles a curious smile once she is spent
And they never seem to know that evil was her intent.
