You're special to me, you're someone I trust
I treasure the topics that we have discussed
I'm thankful for times you have summoned a smile
I'm grateful our paths have converged for a while
I'm pleased by each confidence you have displayed
I cherish those moments you've sought to persuade
I'm touched by the gestures of kindness you've shown
I've noticed how fast all our hours have flown
I'm feeling the force of a friendship that's true
I'm fortunate knowing a person like you.

| Friendship sounds like a wonderful thing to have. I only have two friends, my boyfriend and his sister. I liked this. Very well written |

oh jeez. this was good, it really was. and have I ever been in this situation! the words you chose to describe the situation were quite impressive, it falls in line with the exact same way I feel all the time with a certain relationship or two that I have. the best line in this one, to me, would have to be:
I'm grateful our paths have converged for a while
Which I've tried to express myself dozens of times, but improperly. You captured it so well here, and you payed attention to rhyme scheme and iambic flow! I rarely ever see that, and it's always a pleasure to read. Nicely done, yet again. |

I really like this ... carefree indeed ... and wonderfully penned. True friends are a treasure worth so much more than we will ever know ... and they are few and far between for some of us. Thankfully ... I have at least one ... ( quite possibly more that I may be unaware of )
