Fight back the cravings
The withdrawals are intent
Count your rare blessings
Rationalize your discontent
Perilous dissention
Your parallel abyss calls
Deepening its depression
With every inch of your fall
Overburdened tolerance
Can’t stabilize the increase
Imposed societal ordnance
Won’t inoculate the disease
Loathing the audacity
Abusing the common folk
Lauding its new authority
Licenses to survive have been revoked
Weakening economies
Money matters, not the amount
Foreboding atrocities
Nothing left in the moral account
The Shepard of the faithless
Has misplaced his flock
The pervert of the castle
Unannounced, refuses to knock
Presently in time
On this momentous afternoon
The Cowboy rides swiftly
Gunfight at the old saloon
Fight back the cravings
That hold you chained
Let loose the inhibitions
Psychosomatic pain
Counterintuitive methodologies
Radiate wickedness from saints
Counterproductive energies
In the Gas Chambers of restraints

Very powerful write with a good grasp of vocabulary. With good observations about bad things, it makes it all worth reading over and over. Keep it up the strong work. |
