there was a wolf that walked the night
roamed the mountains with no fright
he was fast, the howl was well defined
he was a traveler, wishing to leave his old life behind
he was gentle, and avoided trouble if he could
but if cornered ,he was a killer, and kill he would
but he avoided people, and people left him alone
for they new he was not on the hunt, but just wishes to roam
he was a roamer, and that would change no time soon
as long as he was guided by the soft light of the moon
